About Jodha Bai Estate

A 450 year old palace,
rebuilt by hand.

In 1571, the Mughal Emperor Akbar built a palace at Fatepur Sikri for his beloved wife, Jodha Bai. In 2010, Cliff and Susan Peiffer stood inside those red sandstone arches and decided to build it again, on a hillside in Terranora, New South Wales. Working as owner builders alongside their designer, every column, window and carved detail was raised faithful to the original: a private estate with no equal in the region, reserved one session at a time.
